OLD SONGS


In the past people used to sing more often than today. They sang in the evenings or on Sundays when families got together. They also sang while working or after the work had been done. Singing was part of their lives. And how lively it got when there was an accordion player! People mostly used to sing folk songs and dance waltz and polka, but also other folk dances.

We wanted to find out which were the most popular Slovene folk songs as well as Slovene and foreign pop songs. We prepared a questionnaire for our pupils’ grandparents and then made a list of the most popular songs.

At the same time we collected old vinyls and cassettes which you can see in our photo gallery.
